Installation Zimbra 8.6 in ubuntu 12.04 Server.

How To Install Zimbra Mail server on ubuntu 18.04 LTS

Zimbra is a free & open-source mail server 

First we need to install Ubuntu server

After installation ubuntu server we need to update and upgrade ubuntu server

Sudo apt-get update

Sudo apt-get upgrade

hostnamectl set-hostname mail.querypanel.com

or we can set via manually editing /etc/hosts files

vi /etc/hosts

Disable,Stop & Remove Systemd-resolve service

systemctl stop systemd-resolved

rm /etc/resolv.conf

Create a new resolv.conf file

sh -c ‘echo nameserver 192.168.60.2 >> /etc/resolv.conf’

Install DNS server

apt-get install dnsmasq

Open the /etc/dnsmasq.conf file

vi /etc/dnsmasq.conf

Add the following lines

server=server-ip

domain=host-name

mx-host= host-name, mail.querypanel.com, 5

mx-host=mail.host-name mail.querypanel.com, 5

listen-address=127.0.0.1

Restart the dnsmasq service

systemctl restart dnsmasq

now start to download Zimbra mail server

wget https://files.zimbra.com/downloads/8.6.15_GA/zcs-8.6.15_GA_3869.UBUNTU18_64.20190918004220.tgz

wget https://files.zimbra.com/downloads/8.8.15_GA/

zcs-8.8.15_GA_3869.UBUNTU18_64.20190918004220.tgz

tar -xvf zcs-8.6.15_GA_3869.UBUNTU18_64.20190918004220.tgz

Change the directory

cd zcs-8.8.15_GA_3869.UBUNTU18_64.20190918004220

Install Zimbra commands

Click type Y (yes)

Need to install zimbra packages repository

Type Y (yes)

Type Y, select zimbra packages to install

Type Y to install Zimbra features

In main menu

Need to type 7 for change password

Type 4 & Press Enter

Type the password

• Type a to apply the configurations.
• Type y,for save config data to a file.
• Type yes for system modification.
• Press Enter.

Open the  port number on network firewall

Open ports as per your requirement

Now you can access Zimbra on web Interface

Admin portal

User web interface

For email server configuration

Click on Configure

Click on servers

And add the server name like mail.querypanel.com
